There is a report from CNN reporting that two men have been stoned to death for adultery and murder. Human rights organizations have obviously condemned this. Now clearly, there is no denying that our religion proscribes this punishment as well. I can't particularly judge stoning back then, because, well, thats what executions were. I can judge it nowadays because, well, we feel stoning is barbaric. My question is this: Are people bothered that a person can get executed for adultery, or are you really bothered by the method (i.e. stoning)? Had these people been executed by lethal injection, would you have a serious problem with it? Would you feel less bothered? Just the same? Be honest now.
